Question
- According to Plesk's deprecation plan, BIND for Windows will be deprecated in November 2023. From then on, only Micrisoft DNS will be available as an option that is supported by Plesk. Will the Slave DNS Manager extension for Plesk support MSDNS after BIND is deprecated?
Answer
The Slave DNS Manager extension uses a BIND native method (rndc
tool) to synchronize zones between servers. It is not possible to adapt the BIND native method for Microsoft DNS, which means the Slave DNS Manager extension will not work without BIND or other rndc
tools for Windows.
