Question
In Plesk Obsidian newly created domains have the Permanent SEO-safe 301 redirect from HTTP to HTTPS option enabled by default. How to change this behavior?
Answer
To increase the security of the new servers with Plesk Obsidian all service plans comes with this option enabled by default (What's New in Plesk Obsidian). To change this behavior follow the steps below:
-
Go to Service Plans > click on required plan > Hosting Parameters tab.
-
Disable the checkbox Permanent SEO-safe 301 redirect from HTTP to HTTPS and press Update & Sync
Note: In case there are no subscriptions assigned to a Service Plan, there will be the OK button instead of Update & Sync.
It will have the following effects:
-
All existing subscriptions synchronized with this modified service plan will get Permanent SEO-safe 301 redirect from HTTP to HTTPS disabled.
-
All new subscriptions created using the modified service plan will be having Permanent SEO-safe 301 redirect from HTTP to HTTPS disabled by default.
Note: If the subscription is locked for sync with the service plan its new subdomains and additional domains will be replicating the redirect option from the subscription's main domain (has the same name with the subscription).
