Plesk for Windows supports IIS Dynamic Compression (IIS 7.0 or later
required). Enabling this feature allows the web server to compress
dynamic content served in response to requests from web browsers
supporting HTTP compression. Non-compliant web browsers are served
dynamic content uncompressed.
Dynamic compression decreases website loading times and allows for more
efficient use of traffic. However, it increases CPU load both for the
server and the client. The compressed content is never cached; the
compression is performed anew for every request.
Enabling IIS Dynamic Compression
To enable IIS Dynamic Compression, install the “Dynamic
Content Compression” component (under “Plesk hosting features”).
