Smart Updates

Smart Updates allow site administrators to test available updates without affecting the production site.

• Smart Update works with updates of WordPress core, plugins, and themes
• Smart Update can be performed manually or automatically
• Smart Update clones the production website and updates it, checking for issues that appear after the update
• Site administrator is provided with a detailed list of changes detected after the update
• Smart Update also notifies about preexisting issues that are present on a site before the update
• Site administrator can access the test site at any time to check it personally
• When site administrator confirms the update, Smart Update deletes the test site and runs the update on the production site
• When both autoupdates and Smart Updates are enabled on a site, Smart Update will run automatically as a part of autoupdate procedure

• Autoupdates are not applied if Smart Update finds any issues during the test run

Smart PHP Updates

Smart PHP Updates allow site administrators to test how their site will work on a different PHP version without affecting the production site.

• Smart PHP Update clones the production website and runs it on a different PHP version, checking for issues that appear after the PHP version switch
• Site administrator can choose which PHP version should be used on the clone
• Site administrator is provided with a detailed list of changes detected after the PHP version switch
• Smart PHP Update also notifies about preexisting issues that are present on a site before the switch
• Site administrator can access the test site at any time to check it personally
• If site administrator confirms PHP version switch, Smart PHP Update deletes the test site and changes the PHP version on the production site

Licensing

WP Toolkit Deluxe requires a separate license specific to current Plesk edition. The license grants unlimited use of all included features for all sites hosted on a server.

Note: WP Toolkit Deluxe for Web Admin requires purchase of full WP Toolkit in order to work.

Important: Upgrading your Plesk license to a different edition does not automatically upgrade your WP Toolkit Deluxe license. You will need to purchase a new Deluxe license that fits your new Plesk Edition.
