Plesk Obsidian 18.0.63 Release

Plesk version 18.0.63 is now available, with a new set of features and announcements! This blog will only scratch the surface of all the new features and improvements that come with this latest update.

InnoDB Repair Tool

Feel empowered when facing MariaDB database corruption with the InnoDB Repair Tool. Available even when the Plesk panel is inaccessible via Plesk Repair Kit, take the guesswork out of database troubleshooting.

PHP 7.0 for AlmaLinux 8, 9, and Ubuntu 20

Make the migration of older websites easier with the availability of PHP 7.0 now available for AlmaLinux 8 and 9, and Ubuntu 20. Website migrations are made more efficient without updating PHP versions in preparation. Focus on safely moving website data, and then update them to secure and supported PHP versions.

Please Note: This functionality is NOT recommended for use on production servers post-migration. Running applications and websites on outdated PHP versions poses security risks.

Kaspersky Deprecation

The U.S. government has placed sanctions on Kaspersky products.  The text of the final ruling is here:https://www.federalregister.gov/documents/2024/06/24/2024-13532/final-determination-case-no-icts-2021-002-kaspersky-lab-inc.

Due to this ruling, Kaspersky AV is now deprecated and will be automatically removed in Plesk Obsidian v18.0.64. You can view our deprecation plan here:

We offer an alternative, industry-leading solution: Sophos Anti-Virus for Servers, which is already fully integrated with Plesk for both Linux and Windows – also in the Power and Hosting Packs.
