Plesk extension is a ZIP archive containing a specifically-organized
directory structure and a file with meta information describing the
software. Starting from Plesk 11, developers can pack extensions in a
cross-platform format, in a ZIP archive with a metadata file placed in
the root directory. Such extensions are supported by Plesk for both
Linux and Windows.
