HTTP/2

HTTP/2 ( HTTP/2.0 ) is the revision of the good old HTTP network protocol. Google’s SPDY experimental protocol was the  base for HTTP/2. Httpbis is the Hypertext Transfer Protocol working group that developed new protocol.

HTTP/2 has numerous goals – a negotiation mechanism that allows servers and clients to choose between  HTTP 1.1., 2.0 or other non-HTTP protocols; improve page load speed by using data compression of HTTP headers; pipelining of requests; multiple requests multiplexing over the same TCP connection. Keeping high-level compatibility with old HTTP 1.1 is also among priorities of HTTP/2.

HTTP/2 works with http and https-based uris. Encryption de-facto becomes a standard.
