Symptoms
- Plesk Obsidian running on a Linux-based operating system
- The following e-mail message is sent to the Plesk Administrator:
Dear Administrator, your virus bases are not up to date. Please run updating script manually or use cron for this purpose.
/etc/cron.daily/drweb-update:
ERROR: Dr.Web Updater: failed to download files !
run-parts: /etc/cron.daily/drweb-update exited with return code 108
- Running the script manually throws the same output:
# /etc/cron.daily/drweb-update
ERROR: Dr.Web Updater: failed to download files!
Cause
Temporary issues on the side of Dr.Web servers is preventing the update files from being fetched.
Resolution
This message can be safely ignored for one day, as the update will run once again on the next day automatically.
Should the same message be received on the next day, you should contact Plesk Technical Support, so that the case can be investigated further.
