Plesk Obsidian 18.0.67 is now available, bringing exciting new features and updates. Ready to explore some of the main highlights of the upgrade? Read on below!
Panel and Hosting Improvements
PHP Hosting
Experience faster load times and improved server performance with PHP 8.4, now available for websites hosted on Plesk server out of the box! Learn more about how to install PHP 8.4 using Plesk Installer in our guide.
As per UserVoice request, AVIF, one of the most commonly used image formats on the web is now supported by PHP from Plesk on Linux. It provides high compression rates and efficient performance.
However, please note that PHP 8.4 and AVIF support are not available on CentOS 7 and CloudLinux 7.
Panel Updates
As per UserVoice request, you can now secure the mail service with a separate SAN on domains with the “No Hosting” type using the SSL It! extension.
Atomic rulesets for ModSecurity can now be selected on all Linux OSes, including the most modern ones, such as Debian 11 and later, and Ubuntu 20.04 and later.
You can now create your ideal color scheme and font design in seconds with AI-powered recommendations in the Sitejet Builder extension.
Furthermore, Plesk for Linux has switched Roundcube to PHP 8.3.
Feature Improvements
The UX of Plesk UI notifications has been improved:
- Notifications are now grouped according to their type, e.g., those that belong to particular extensions or events are grouped together.
- A notification group is displayed on one line. You can expand the group and see all its extensions by clicking “Show more”. To collapse the group, simply click “Show less”.
- You can dismiss the whole group of notifications with a single click on the “Remove” icon.
- You can mark a group of notifications as a favorite and then use the “Favorites” filter.
- A notification group will inherit its title and description from the most recent notification in the group.
- If one group is expanded, an attempt to open another group will automatically collapse the first group before the second one is opened.
To help you customize your Home dashboard in Service Provider View, we have developed an example extension called Custom Dashboard. With this extension, you can learn the ropes of customizing the dashboard even if you’re not proficient in coding. You can install the extension from the GitHub repository, follow code-along exercises, and see how that shapes your Home dashboard.
