In an attempt to activate a WordPress plugin for the
example.com
domain, one of the following errors appear:Error: Permission denied
Error: Invalid URL was requested.
- For Umbraco application:
Server Error in '/' Application.
Access to the path 'C:Inetpubvhostsexample.comhttpdocsApp_DataTEMPPluginCacheumbraco-plugins.WIN-win.hash' is denied. -
The Additional write/modify permissions option is disabled in Plesk > Domains > example.com > Hosting Settings.

Website application could not write in the
DocumentRoothttpdocs
folder. The following or similar error is shown on the website:The directory is not writable by the Web process
Cause
The full access rights to a corresponding Plesk IIS user and an IIS application pool user are not granted.
Resolution

Go to Plesk > Domains > example.com > Hosting Settings, enable the Additional write/modify permissions option and press the OK button.

To make the required option enabled for newly created domains, enable the Additional write/modify permissions management directive in Plesk > Service Plans > Default > Permissions > Show more permissions.
